Voces Intimae's annual Liederabend and master class series provides an opportunity for students and musicians to share the art of song in an informal and intimate setting. Meet up with fellow art song lovers at a coffee shop or a local school to share the love of song.

Student Liederabend- October 31, 2015
Join us at Union Coffee to practice audition and recital repertoire or just to share your favorite art songs and meet new friends! NATS is the very next weekend!
Applications for the Student Liederabend must be emailed to
[email protected] by October 31, 2015. Name: Address: City, State and Zip code: Phone number: Email: Your University/ College: Name of Voice Instructor/ Coach: How did you learn about this event? Title, Composer, Poet of each song: Length of each song: Do you give permission to Voces Intimae to use your image in photography or video for advertisement purposes, including Voces Intimae's website, Facebook, and Twitter? (Yes or No): Registration is due on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Please sign up as soon as possible as there is a limit to how many students may participate. Only art song literature will be accepted. Songs may be in any language and each participant may perform up to two songs. An accompanist will be provided for singers, however, singers may bring their own if they wish. The Spring Liederabend is a free event open to the public. There is no fee to apply. |

A Masterclass with Dr. Elvia Puccinelli
Thank you Dr. Puccinelli, Richland College, pianist Heeyoung Choi, the student singers, and special donors for making this masterclass possible. On September 26, 2015, Dr. Puccinelli, Associate Professor of Music at the University of North Texas College of Music and dedicated educator in the field of collaborative arts and a specialist in vocal literature, presented a masterclass on Italian art song that featured six university vocal students. This event was free to participate in and free to attend. |

Fall Liederabend 2014
Thank you to all of the students who participated in the Fall Liederabend. Several vocal and collaborative piano students from DFW colleges and universities gathered at the Union Coffee Shop in Dallas to perform their favorite art songs on October 25, 2014. Thank you to Heeyoung Choi for playing and Union Coffee Shop for hosting! More Liederabend opportunities will be posted on this page in the near future.

Can you sing in French? The French art song master class with Mary Dibbern was a success!
Thank you to all of the students who applied and participated. Thank
you to Mary Dibbern, Keith Critcher, Richland College, and everyone who
attended on September 27, 2014. Mary Dibbern, Director of Education and Family Programs for The Dallas Opera, worked with six (6) DFW college and university vocal students on the art of the French song.

Texas Lekka: A Roundup of Texas Composers
The Texas Lekka concert on February 15, 2014 featured four talented young artists, Matthew Stump, Erin Alcorn, Laura Begley, and Bo Wang. These singers learned and performed music by composers with a Texas connection, including Simon Sargon, Francis Osentowski, Robert Xavier Rodriguez, Joelle Wallach and Margaret Barrett.
