ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:

Audra Scott

This Award-winning soprano continues the steady ascent of her emerging career. Ms. Scott has been seen in the role of Strawberry Woman throughout Europe with the tour of Porgy & Bess for the past ten years with the Munich-based Company, New York Harlem Theater. Ms. Scott has been seen in opera houses and theaters such as; Oper Leipzig, Bremen Music Theatre, Kölner Philharmonie, Komische Oper Berlin, Grand Théatre de Genéve, Chassé Theater (Netherlands), Amsterdam RAI, Le Colisée, Opéra de Massey and National theatre Mannheim, and Toruń, Poland to name a few. She has also been featured in a concert series entitled, 'Christmas Dreams from America' presented in churches throughout Germany. Ms. Scott has been presented in recital throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, Prairie View, Arizona, Minnesota, Utah and California. She has trained as a young artist with Amarillo Opera, Utah Festival Opera, and Dallas Opera. Ms. Scott portrayed the role of Lily with the Fort Worth Opera's production of Porgy & Bess in the spring of 2019. Ms. Scott holds degrees from Prairie View A &M University, University of Arizona, and Southern Methodist University all specializing in vocal performing. Ms. Scott now holds the position of Head of Vocal Studies at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas. 
Malcolm Payne
Malcolm Payne Jr. (he/him) is a recent graduate from the University of North Texas. Previous engagements include John Proctor in The Crucible at Berlin Opera Academy, Jim in Porgy and Bess at Fort Worth Opera, and Papageno in The Magic Flute at Central Florida Lyric Opera. Payne toured with The Dallas Opera's Educational Outreach Program as a young artist between the years of 2014 and 2019. Current engagements include Eduardo/Diego/Mr. Bonito in Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World and Max in Stone Soup as a Fort Worth Opera studio artist. He is also a classically trained flute player who has performed across the nation and internationally.

Keith Critcher, collaborative pianist
A native of Boone, North Carolina, Mr. Critcher’s broad span of recital repertoire includes 40 years of collaboration with students, choirs, and professional musicians. Collegiate positions have included Appalachian State University, Texas Christian University, Southwestern Seminary and currently sixteen years at Texas Wesleyan University, Fort Worth, as vocal coach/collaborative pianist and instructor of Music in Worship. As Minister of Music and Artistic Director (Classical and Sacred Concert Series) at East Dallas Christian Church, Keith direct the Chancel Choir performing major choral works and seasonal concerts often featuring guest musicians, composers, and conductors. Highlights include a memorable festival with composer Morten Lauridsen; Texas Wesleyan Chorale (Haydn’s Creation) and the Dallas Symphony Chorus (Mozart’s Requiem, Durufle’s Requiem, and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms).
